中山道は約548kmの街道沿いに69の宿場があります。
湯川酒造店のある藪原宿は、江戸からも京からも35番目の宿場で、
距離的にもちょうど中山道の中間点にあたります。
馬籠宿から贄川宿までの11宿は木曽路と呼ばれ、
険しい山間部を抜ける街道であり数々の難所がありました。
中でも、藪原宿と奈良井宿を隔てる鳥居峠は木曽路最大の難所とされ、
その難所を控えた藪原宿は相当の賑わいがあったとされています。
木曽路は歴史や自然を体感できるトレッキングコースとして、
国内外から多くの方々に親しまれています。
さて、前置きが長くなりましたが、
鳥居峠の塩尻市（奈良井宿）側のいくつかの橋が経年劣化により
大変危険な状態となっているということで、
終日全面通行止による補修作業を行うということです。
規制は2026年3月2日から4月24日までが予定されています。
春を迎えて木曽路を訪れる方が増えるタイミングではありますが、
鳥居峠を越えて藪原宿から奈良井宿まで通り抜けることができなくなります。
藪原宿側から、峰の茶屋休憩所までは通行が可能ですので、
この時期に鳥居峠にいらっしゃる方は、
藪原駅を起点として、御嶽神社や峰の茶屋休憩所との往復コースで
ぜひお楽しみいただければ幸いです！

Yukawa Sake Brewery is located in Yabuhara which is historical post town, almost exactly halfway along the Nakasendo. Kisoji trail is a stretch of the Nakasendo between Magome and Niekawa, there are 11 post town including Yabuhara.
Kisoji trail is one of most popular hiking course which is historical and beautiful seasonal scenery, and the Torii pass trail was known for its steep, sometimes dangerous, between Yabuhara to Narai in the Edo period.
Please kindly note following important information;
The Torii pass trail on the Shiojiri city (Narai) side will be closed all day (24 hours).
Some bridges on the trail are old and unsafe, and Shiojiri city has decided to repair that bridges.
The closure period is scheduled from 2 March to 24 April 2026.
The trail on the Kiso village (Yabuhara) side will remain open. Would you please enjoy hiking to go back and forth between Yabuhara and the top of Torii pass.
